The chapter is proud to announce that we are co-sponsoring this event with Federal Premium Ammunition. It is an opportunity for all youth 11 to 17 years old to try their hand at trap, skeet, 5-stand and sporting clays in a controlled, safe environment. The chapter provides the guns, ammunition, and clay targets at no cost to the attendee.
Last year's event was held on May 4th 2024. This event will be held again in May, the exact date to be determined.
The 2023 Youth Hunt was held at Wild Wings of Oneka in Hugo on October 7th. The event included a safety brief, clay target shooting, field training, hunting with experienced guides, mentors and dogs, lunch and a ringneck membership.
Participants should be between 12 and 15, and must have successfully completed hunter safety and have their parents permission. Due to overwhelming interest the last few years, we limit the number of participants to 50 participants.

Each year, Chisago County Chapter has contributed $2,500 in scholarships to Chisago Lakes High School, North Branch High School and Rush City High School students pursuing degrees in a conservation science. Thanks to Theresa Ryan of Edward Jones Investments, our scholarship fund is growing and will enable us to continue awarding scholarships in the future.
Each year the chapter sponsors future outdoorsman and conservationist to attend TUNE Camp and Bird Camp during the Summer.
Chapter Committee Members donate their time mentoring the campers at TUNE Camp.
